About
Every portrait tells a story. My aim is to create artwork that captures not only a true likeness but also the personality, character and memories that make each subject unique.
Every commission is drawn by hand with patience, care and close attention to detail.
My Story
Although I’ve always appreciated art, my creative journey took a different path for many years through photography. Spending countless hours waiting for the right light taught me the importance of observation, patience and attention to detail—qualities that now influence every portrait I create.
After more than 35 years away from drawing, I decided to pick up a pencil again. What began as a personal challenge quickly became a passion, leading me to specialise in hyper-realistic charcoal portraits that celebrate the people and pets who matter most.
My Approach
I believe the best portraits are more than accurate drawings—they should capture expression, character and emotion. Whether working from a treasured family photograph or creating a bespoke reference image through The Signature Portrait Experience, I take time to ensure every commission receives the care and attention it deserves.
Rather than producing artwork in volume, I prefer to focus on a small number of commissions, allowing each portrait to be created to the highest standard possible.
